Louise Mae (Kamian) Bedrosian
October 17, 1933 – June 1, 2026
Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend passed away on June 1, 2026, at the age of 92.
Louise is survived by her daughters, Lynn, Gail, and Beth; son-in-law, Voc; grandsons, Franklin, Peter, and Joseph; her sister, Judy; and her brother, Franklin.
Louise was the daughter of Setrak ("Seto") and Pares Kamian, Armenian immigrants and survivors of the Armenian Genocide. She grew up in Sanger, California, and graduated from Fresno State with a degree in education. She taught kindergarten in Fresno and later in Los Angeles. After raising her three daughters, Louise returned to education as a substitute teacher for the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District, where she worked for 35 years.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, George. They were married for 50 years.
Louise will always be remembered in our hearts. She had the sweetest smile, a humble and kind spirit, and a remarkable ability to bring warmth and joy wherever she went. We will deeply miss her laughter, her gentle nature, and the sunshine she brought into the lives of everyone around her.
Louise cherished time with her family, especially family outings, Sunday church services, the church Ladies Society, and traveling. She enjoyed lunches with friends and looked forward to playing bridge every Friday. Louise adored her three grandsons, and her face lit up whenever they walked into the room. An avid reader, Louise often read about 70 books each year. A UCLA Bruins fan through and through, Louise rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on her beloved UCLA basketball team.
Louise will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. We find comfort in knowing that she is at peace with our Lord and reunited with her husband, family members, and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held on June 10, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Armenian Church, 4950 W. Slauson Avenue, Los Angeles. A luncheon will follow in the church hall. Interment will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 S. Western Avenue, Rancho Palos Verdes.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her beloved St. James Armenian Church or The Paros Foundation.
Friends and family are invited to sign the online guest book at Green Hills Mortuary.
