Lamar Edison, Sr., died on December 28, 2023, at 88. He was born in Yazoo City, Mississippi, on October 20, 1935, and was a longtime resident of Gardena, California. He is survived by his wife, Viola Edison; sons, Lamar (Camille) Edison, Jr., Orea Allen Edison, Sr.; daughter, Denise Edison; grandchildren, Jalyn N. Edison, Orea Allen Edison, Jr., Lamar Edison, III, Aaron Edison, Amanuel Edison, Kamryn S. Frierson, Blake Edison, great-grandchild, Lamar Edison, IV; brother, Thomas A. Edison. The viewing will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in The Cove Suite of Green Hills Mortuary. The funeral services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 2 pm in the Green Hills Memorial Chapel, followed by the interment.
