Joseph Ramiro Lopez went home to be with the Lord November 23rd 2018 at the age of 60 after an 18 month battle with cancer. He was survived by his wife Tamara Lopez, 3 children Joseph, David and Marina Lopez, daughters in law Victoria and Megan, grandchildren Judah, Aubri and Avid, oldest brother Gabby, sisters Lucille, Anita, Elizabeth, Andrea, Lulu, Carmen, Belinda, and Patricia, many brothers and sisters in law, along with countless nieces and nephews. Joe was born September 28th 1958 in Los Angeles CA to Joseph and Marina Lopez. He resided in Riverside CA for the last 13 years. He attended San Pedro High School and lived in San Pedro CA until 1985. He was a minister with the Pentecostal Church of God, and spent the last 25 years as a minister and pastor with the Church of God. He was a flooring contractor by trade. Most of all, he was a man of God and loving husband, father, brother, uncle, coach and friend. He spent his life pouring into others. If you knew him or spent any time with him, he probably knew your favorite drink and cooked for you at some point or another. Weather you knew him as Pastor Joe, coach on the baseball field or basketball court, from work, as Uncle Peto, daddy or grandpa, he knew how to make you feel like the most important person in the room. When he spoke people listened and learned and laughed. He loved his family, music, the beach, the Dodgers, the Lakers, the Rams, Disneyland, NASCAR, coaching, preaching, and most of all the Word of God. He left us with an example of how to be a loving husband, a great father, an inspiring leader, and to live a life of hard work, integrity and most of all joy and laughter. He left us with a legacy of faith, prayer and family. It was his greatest desire to see everyone come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Joe will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but the lessons and love he taught us all will never be forgotten.
