Mothers are the souls of our hearts. A beautiful angel lay in peace with our father Jesus Miguel Yuste, and their souls are once again reunited in the freedom of everlasting spirit and joy in our Lords heaven.

Josefina Trias Yuste. Jan 20, 1933 – April 25, 2026.

Dear Mama,

you are the heart and soul of our lives. Your love eternally beats within us. Today you are free in spirit and happiness and rejoicing in the kingdom of heaven reunited with Papa, family, and friends.

Growing up in the Philippines you were as much a tom boy as you were the most beautiful girl in town.

You and your big wonderful family survived losing everything during WW2 in the Philippine islands. Your strength persisted and blossomed into the strong independent smart beautiful woman we call Mama.

Mama was the chosen woman in her province to be the one accepted in Nursing school in postwar Philippines. Soon she became the beautiful bride of a dashing Philippine educated US Naval man we know as Papa. Your strength and resilience allowed you to raise 3 loving sons while managing moves around US naval cities and maintaining your nursing career, while adjusting to US citizenship. As 1st generation immigrants you taught us sacrifice, hard work, dedication, and perseverance would lead to success. As foreigners in a new land, you proved that, as you and Papa created a financially comfortable and healthy life for your family.

You taught us love, you loved God, and you shared that love with us and those around you. You were a beautiful person in youth, and youthfully beautiful as you grew in wisdom and in years. Forever young in our hearts. We love you Mama, our hearts are sorrowed , but our souls are rejoicing in the freedom of your beautiful soul.

God bless you.

Josefina “Nena” is survived by her 3 Sons and their families, Son Richard and MaryRose, grandchildren, Noelle, and Nathan. Son Will and Mindy, grandchildren Dylan, Matthew, and great grandson Isaac. Son John, and grandchild Olivia.
