he loved playing golf, traveling, listening to music, and cheering on his favorite teams, the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Dodgers.
Jeffrey Raymond Linares was a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, partner, and friend. Affectionately known as “Jeff,” he was born on October 27, 1969. On September 23, 2026, at the age of 56, Jeff was called home to be with God and reunited in Heaven with his beloved father, Richard Linares, and his brother, Richard “Tubby” Linares Jr.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Eileen; his brother, Leonard; his sister, Stephanie; his daughters, Savanah and Breanna; his sons, Jeffrey and Noah; his two grandsons, Jaoquin and Luke; as well as his beloved nieces and nephews.
Jeff spent his career working on the waterfront as a longshoreman, eventually becoming a marine clerk. Outside of work, he loved playing golf, traveling, listening to music, and cheering on his favorite teams, the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Dodgers. He also cherished spending time with the many close friends and family he loved. Jeff was funny, easygoing, and the kind of person who made lasting friendships wherever he went. To many, he was not only a friend, but one of the greatest friends they ever had.
Music was an especially important part of Jeff’s life. When he couldn’t quite find the words to express how he felt, he always seemed to find a song that could say it for him. Those songs became a special way he connected with the people he loved and will always be a part of how they remember him.
Jeff was also a strong man of faith and an incredible fighter. He battled pancreatic cancer with remarkable strength, resilience, and determination, continuing his fight far beyond what is often expected with this disease. Through every challenge, his faith remained a source of strength and carried him through even the most difficult days.
Jeff will be remembered for his humor, his strength and faith, his deep love for his family, and the countless friendships he made throughout his life. His love for his children, grandchildren, mother, siblings, nieces and nephews, and those he considered family will remain a lasting part of his legacy. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
May Jeff rest peacefully in Heaven, reunited with his father, his brother, and all those he loved who went before him.
