Jean Barsam has joined her late husband, Vartkes, in God’s kingdom. She leaves behind her four children, a daughter in law, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Jean was devoted to her family, friends, Armenian community and the Armenian Church.
Jean’s early years were spent in New York City. That dramatically changed when she met Vartkes and made the fateful move to Southern California in 1954.
In addition to serving on committees of her St. James Armenian Church, Jean was an active member of the Daughters of Vartan and Ararat Guild. She was particularly supportive of many programs and projects of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church.
Jean will be dearly missed by her family, friends and community.
