He was born on July 1, 1940 in Long Beach, California and had been a life long resident of Palos Verdes Estates.
James is survived by his beloved sons, Robert (Elysha) Johnston, Michael (Ashlee) Johnston and David Johnston along with granddaughter, Makenna Johnston.
Cryptside services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 12pm in Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
