Iris Lee Phoenix passed away peacefully with family by her side at the age of 96. She was born to Floyd and Alma Lee in Marland, OK, and grew up in Marfa, TX. She graduated from Torrance High School in 1946 and dedicated many years of her life as an administrative secretary for Torrance Unified School District before her retirement.A devoted Christian, Iris lived her faith through her actions and words, enriching the lives of those around her. Iris led a life full of purpose and love, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met. She will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and the quiet strength she exhibited throughout her life. She had a profound love for her community in Torrance, where she enjoyed the company of her family, especially her several grandchildren, whom she adored deeply.Iris is survived by her sons, Don L. Nash and John E. Nash.Services will be held at 12:30pm on Tuesday, March 10 at Green Hills Memorial Park.
