Ida Mae Edwards

Ida, the daughter of Johnny and Willie Griggs, was born August 3, 1925 in Tyler, Texas and passed away peacefully on September 2, 2011 in Los Angeles, California. Ida is survived by her companion of 50 years, William A. Williams; her daughter Carolyn Hemphill; a granddaughter, Jeri Sprewell; 2 great-granddaughter, Ralena Bass and Rochell Hodge; 4 great great-granchildren; nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and close friends. The Memorial Service for Ms. Edwards will be Saturday, September 10th at 9:00 a.m. at Green Hills Memorial Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.
