Hiram Gonzalez Sr.

Hiram Gonzalez Sr., age 66, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Hiram was born on January 28, 1951 in Long Beach, California. He was a longtime resident and businessman of Wilmington, CA. Many members of the community remember Hiram from the years spent working at the family owned, Gonzalez Restaurant and Cande's Liquor. He dedicated the last 25 years to the waterfront as an accomplished Gearman and proud member of ILWU local 13. He is survived by his love of 36 years Lourdes Correa, his son Hiram Jr., his son Joseph and granddaughters Sara, Mary and Lisa, son Mark and grandsons Morgan and Sean, sisters Eva, Stella, Helen and Vida. He will be missed by his numerous family members, friends, and all who were touched by his larger than life charisma and wild sense of humor. Rosary and Vigil to be held at Green Hills Memorial Park 27501 S. Western Ave. Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. on Tuesday, January 16th at 6pm. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church 25511 Eschelman Ave. Lomita, CA. on Wednesday, January 17th at 10am.
