Hilaria Routtenberg, a resident of San Pedro for 55 years passed away July 5, 2013 after a battle with cancer. She was born on January 14, 1930 in Baird, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Maria Argumaniz; her husband, Isaac of 53 years; daughter, Barbara Cramer; son, Anthony Cervantes; brother, Fernando Argumaniz, and sister, Alice Torres. She is survived by five children; Virginia (Andy) Luna, Elizabeth (Frank) Cervantes, Rebecca (George) Jones, Rachel (David) Routtenberg, Daniel (Nancy) Routtenberg and son-in-law, Aritz Mendizabal; 10 grandsons, Armondo Cramer, George (Megan) Cramer, David Cramer, Eddie Sigler, Ray Prince, Rhaemy Prince, Joseph Hecker, Samuel Martinez, Aaron Routtenberg and Andrew Mendoza; 5 granddaughters, Sunshine (Willie) Mendizable, Stephanie (Ken) Reese, Rachael (Able) Ornelas, Jasmine Perez and Lauren Hecker; 16 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild; 6 brothers, Pete (Pena) Argumaniz, Manuel (Cindi) Argumaniz, Benjamin (Concha) Argumaniz, Frank (Margaret) Argumaniz, Ruben (Olivia) Argumaniz and David (Almanza) Argumaniz, and her sister, Felipa Argumaniz; her sister-in-law, Isabel Argumaniz and brother-in-law, George Petrovic, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved and served the Lord faithfully. All who knew her were honored by her unconditional love and friendship. One of her famous quotes was "there is always an extra bean in the pot for someone who is hungry." She had a love for whistling and singing, as she cooked and baked some amazing dishes, and sewing, crocheting and telling stories on the front porch on hot summer nights. She will truly be missed by all. Viewing will be Monday, July 15th from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Green Hills Mortuary. The memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16th at the interment site in Green Hills Memorial Park.
