Helen C Perez, known to most as Grandma Helen passed away peacefully at home in Rancho Palos Verdes on July 2, 2026, at the age of 101.

Born on November 5, 1924 in San Pedro, California, to Frank and Rosie Cornell. Helen grew up as the youngest of six children, she had five brothers. Throughout her 101 years, she witnessed remarkable changes in the world. She experienced both life’s joys and hardships and became the last surviving child. Through it all, her faith and values guided her - love your family, practice your faith and pass that on to your family to appreciate life’s simple moments.

She married Frank Perez and they had one daughter. She is survived by her daughter, Irene Gonzales; three grandchildren Marc (Holly) Gonzales, Caren (Achilles) Maresca, and Janine Gonzales; six great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.

Services will be held in the Chapel at Green Hills Memorial Park on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 11:30am. Interment and Celebration of Life to follow.
