Hannah was hardworking, stylish, social, independent and loved tending her beautiful garden.

Hannah Hanako Oki Nojima, age 98, passed away peacefully at the home she resided in for 56 years on August 23rd, 2026. She was born on January 18, 1928 in Pueblo, Colorado, the daughter of Kohei Oki and Chiyoka Oki. During her teenage years Hannah and her family were sent to an internment camp in Poston, Arizona and when the camp closed she moved to Chicago, Illinois where she opened a successful beauty shop and married George “Sho” Nojima. Hannah and Sho later moved to Torrance, California where they raised their family. Sho preceded Hannah in death on September 3, 1997.

Hannah was hardworking, stylish, social, independent and loved tending her beautiful garden. Her family will always remember her adorable laugh, strong work ethic, funny one-liners, and determined spirit.

Hannah is survived by her three children John (Brooke), David (Stephanie), and Hilary. She is also survived by her grandchildren Amy Kolb, Keira and Kai Nojima, great-granddaughter Aaliyah Thompson, sister in law Fuku Oki, and many other extended family and friends. Services for Hannah will be held at 12:30 pm on September 5, 2026 at Green Hills Memorial Park, where she will be reunited with her loving husband Sho.
