Gloria Davenport, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at the age of 86. Born in Douglas, Arizona Gloria lived a life filled with love, laughter, kindness, and devotion to her family. She shared 54 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Richard, and together they raised three daughters, Frances, Teresa, and Donna, who were the pride and joy of their lives.

Gloria's greatest happiness came from spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, Matthew, Kaitlin, and Michael, and her treasured great-grandson, Mavrick. She had a warm and welcoming spirit that made everyone feel like family. 

Known for her love of dancing, Gloria especially enjoyed attending dances at the VFW Hall, where she also volunteered as a bookkeeper for many years. She cherished the friendships she made there and was always ready to share a smile, a laugh, or a kind word.

One of Gloria's most special gifts was her love for children. She had a natural ability to make every child feel loved, valued, and welcome. Family gatherings were made even more memorable by her delicious homemade Mexican food, prepared with love and shared generously with those around her.

While her family grieves her loss, they take comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and in the lasting impact of her love, generosity, and especially her spicy and gentle spirit. Gloria's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A reception celebrating Gloria's life will be held immediately following the funeral services at the VFW Hall, 1130 W. Anaheim Street, Wilmington, CA 90744.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
