Frederick "Fred" Talamantes

Beloved Father,Grandfather, Uncle, and Friend. Fred passed away peacefully at his home in Carson on January 6, 2026. He was born in Wilmington on October 2, 1935 and resided in Carson for 60 years. A proud Longshoreman , Fred was a 44 year member of ILWU beginning with Local # 13 and retiring from Local # 63. He was preceded in death by his Daughter Rowena (Rena) and Son James (Jimmy) He is survived by his Daughter Eva Marie (Manuel) and Son Frederick "Freddy"Jr., his 12 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Although his time with us has come to an end, his memory will live on in the hearts and minds of those who loved and knew him best.
