Frances Donis was born on October 1, 2001, and left this world on September 12, 2026. She grew up surrounded by three sisters two older and one younger, and two loving parents. Although she was taken from her family far too soon, Frances always lived life to the fullest. From a young age, Frances dreamed of traveling the world and seeing the beauty that existed beyond Los Angeles. She had a natural curiosity about life and a desire to experience everything the world had to offer. Frances was a light to every person she met. She had a welcoming heart and made those around her feel seen and accepted. She always made sure to use her voice for good and to speak up for those who could not speak for themselves. During high school, Frances volunteered at City Hall in Huntington Park. Her impact there was so meaningful that she was later honored with a certificate commemorating her life and contributions. After graduating from Beloit College, Frances had the opportunity to teach English to children in China. This experience became the beginning of the adventures that would shape so much of her life. She went on to travel solo throughout Europe and Asia, meeting new people, forming friendships, and embracing every opportunity to experience different cultures and ways of life. Frances taught everyone who knew her that sometimes, you have to do it scared—to put aside your doubts and fears and take the chance on the life you long for. She embodied that lesson herself. Even though her life was cut far too short, she accomplished so much of what she dreamed of, and her family could not have been more proud of the woman she became. Her adventurous spirit, kind heart, courage, and willingness to speak up for others will forever remain a part of the lives she touched. Frances may have left this world too soon, but the light she brought into it will continue to live on through the people who loved her.
