Florencio Villacorta, of Carson, California, passed away unexpectedly on September 23, 2025. He was born on February 3, 1937, in Waimea, Kauai, to Rosario Albor and Esteban Villacorta.
Flo was a kind and caring man, who always worked hard whether in his profession or in his garden. Although quiet most of the time, he loved to laugh loudly and told plenty of goofy jokes, always flashing his signature dimples. He was always grateful and never failed to mention when he thought someone was interesting or was doing a great job.
Shortly after graduating high school and completing his tour in the Army, he joined his brother Frank and sister Yonilla in California. He was married to Maureen Kiyoko Minobe from 1967 until her passing in 2009. He worked for several decades as an electronics technician in the aerospace industry.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on November 13th, 2025, at Green Hills Memorial Park. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.
Flo is survived by his brother Sal, daughter Nicole and grandson Robert.
He is deeply missed and will be forever loved and his family takes comfort that he will finally be reunited with his wife. His legacy of loyalty, hard work, kindness and generosity will continue to live on through all who knew him.
