Erlinda Gines Barnachea (July 7, 1948- November 8, 2018)
Erlinda Gines Barnachea, daughter of the late Julio Gines and Lourdes Gines was born July 7, 1948 in Ilocos Narvacan, Philippines. Erlinda was the second oldest of 12 children.
In 1974 she met the love of her life, Arthur Barnachea in Manila through one of her relatives. From the moment she laid eyes on Arthur, she knew she was going to spend the rest of her precious life with him. Their love story started with countless letters which progressed to the proclamation of their love and lead to their marriage in 1977. In 1980, she joined her husband in the United States and shortly after, gave birth to her first born, Eric Barnachea. Four years later, Erlinda had her second son, Arnold Barnachea.
Erlinda proudly worked as an Electrical Technician for Hughes, Boeing, Raytheon and Quinstar for a combined 30+ years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, ballroom dancing, Zumba and going to the casino during her spare time.
Erlinda lived a beautiful life filled with many accomplishments, but the one she was most proud of was raising her two sons to adulthood, seeing them graduate college, earning their bachelors degree and being the successful men they are today. Erlinda also took pride in bringing some of her family to the United States for an opportunity to live a better life. Erlinda successfully extended an invitation to her sisters Eli, Nora, Lydia, Melita and her brothers Rey & JR. to come to the United States.
Erlinda was a humble, sweet, kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband Arthur, her son Eric, his wife Dina, his daughter Katherine, her son Arnold and his girlfriend Debbie.
