Elizabeth Salas Kuroda August 19, 1935 - November 15, 2024.
Elizabeth was born in Denver, Colorado, and was raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. In her 20’s she moved to Los Angeles, California to be near her mother.
Elizabeth married Kason Kuroda from Los Angeles in 1963. They raised their four children Chieko, Kiyoko, Fusaye and Mitchell in Pasadena. They also raised three foster children, Armando Luna, Isabel Kita and Jane Komar.
Elizabeth’s first job was working with her mother running a restaurant in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She retired from the Pasadena Unified School District, after 44 years of dedicating herself to students as a teacher’s aide, a job she thoroughly enjoyed.
Elizabeth was well known for helping others in need. Throughout her life she opened her home to many people who were in need.
She will be missed and forever remembered for her humor, thoughtfulness and dedication to family and students.
Elizabeth is survived by her three daughters Chieko, Kiyoko, Fusaye. Foster children Armando (wife Teresa), Isabel and Jane. Her granddaughters Lilia, Midori and Sachi. Son in law Dave Brode
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Kason, mother Carlota, father Catarino, Sister Delila, and brothers, Hilario, Pedro, and Zacharias.
