Edward Nils "Ed" "Eddie" Pearson

December 21, 1924 — December 11, 2011

Edward Nils Pearson, born December 21, 1924, a lifelong resident of San Pedro, lost his battle with Alzheimer's and passed away on December 12, 2011. He attended Bandini Elementary School, Dana Junior High and graduated from San Pedro High "1942". He loved activities at Cabrillo Beach, riding his bicycle, walking, snow-skiing and especially ballroom-swing dancing. He worked for Anchor Press Printing in San Pedro for more than 40 years. He served his country with the United States Army during World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Ed is survived by his brother, Frank H. Pearson; nephew, Raymond Pearson; and niece, Carol Ann (Tonko) Baran. Also mourning his passing are great-nephew, Anthony (Marie) Baran; great-nieces, Christina Baran, Erica Pearson and Katie Pearson; and great-great-nephew, Alexander Baran. Ed was greatly loved and will be missed by many. Please join us for services at Green Hills Memorial Chapel on Saturday December 17, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. followed by Interment. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or your favorite charity.
