Edward V. Ambrose passed away peacefully in Gardena, California, on November 3, 2025. Born and raised in Dorchester, South Boston, Edward carried with him the values of hard work, resilience, and determination throughout his life.

A proud graduate of Kings Point, Edward served as a merchant marine before beginning a long career as a contract engineer—a profession that allowed him to travel extensively across Asia and Europe. In the 1960s, he made California his home, where he became deeply involved in his community by coaching youth sports and actively participating in local politics.

Edward was an enthusiastic supporter of his hometown teams—the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Celtics. He was also a wine connoisseur, enjoyed the companionship of his beloved dog, Lucky Ambrose, and cherished spending time with his family. While he could be brash at times, those close to him knew Edward for his kindness, generosity, and loving spirit.

He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. Edward’s adventurous spirit, love of sports, and dedication to his community leave a lasting legacy that will be remembered fondly.
