Doris M. Toma, the daughter of Makaru and Kamado Okuma, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2013 at the age of 88. She was born on March 20, 1925 in Oahu, Hawaii and had been a long time resident of Torrance, California. Doris is survived by her beloved sons, Glen Toma and Nick (Tessie) Toma; grandchildren, Brandon, Michele, Janine, Kameleen and Andrew and siblings, Ted (Carol) Okuma, Janet (Phil) Ige, Betty (Yoshiyaki) Kakazu, David (Anne) Okuma and Sue (Satsuki) Teruya. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11am at Green Hills Memorial Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
