Donald Wiedlin passed away on February 12, 2022 in his home in Rancho Palos Verdes, surrounded by family. Born to Dorothy and Jack, he grew up alongside his twin brother, Jack, in Indiana and Illinois. He attended Purdue University with Jack and graduated in 1964, before the two moved to Southern California. He retained a lifelong pride in being a Purdue Boilermaker. Don spent most of his professional career working for the Xerox Corporation as an industrial engineer. While working at Xerox, he met and married Meilin, the love of his life and his best friend (along with Jack).
Don was a passionate sports fan, an avid world traveler, an admirer of music, and he loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh with those around him. He was kind, caring, and gentle, and he showed compassion for people in need his whole life long. His ability to organize and plan were unmatched and he was always up for fun and adventure.
Don is survived by his wife, Meilin, his brother, Jack, sister-in-law, Pearl, his son, Patrick, daughter-in-law, Charissa, and four grandchildren, Renae, Natalie, Nicholas, and Lily. He touched the lives of those he was close to deeply and was a special part of every gathering that included him. He will be dearly missed.
