Her laughter was contagious, her warmth infectious, and her love unconditional.

Deidra Thelma Trevathan, fondly known as Dee, was a resilient soul who was born on June 11, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan. Her strength was only matched by her spirit, a captivating energy that lit up every room she entered. Deidra left us to be with the Lord on July 1, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she had made her home these last few years, at the age of 70.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and unforgettable memories. Deidra was not just a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, and sister; she was a spirited life force who touched the lives of everyone she met. Her laughter was contagious, her warmth infectious, and her love unconditional.

As her daughter, I saw the embodiment of a woman who personified strength and grace. She had the remarkable ability to make anyone feel loved and valued, a trait that defined her as a person. Deidra's life was a testament to her faith in God. Her favorite verse, Romans 8:18, "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us," reflected her unwavering faith and optimism.

As an ordained minister under the International Miracle Institute, she served at events alongside Hope Chapel, Believer's Family Fellowship, Kenneth Copeland Ministries, Art Aragon Ministries, and First Assembly of God Church - Victorville, CA. Deidra was a paralegal by profession, but her passion lay in baking, catering, and traveling.

She loved to explore the world with her family, creating memories that are now our most cherished treasures. Her resilience and sense of humor were constants, even in the face of adversity, making her a beacon of light in our lives. Deidra is survived by her loving daughter Rachel Johnson, her beloved grandchildren Raia, Raiden, Ryder, and Rosalie Johnson, and her dear sisters Kristle Green and Kim Kimble. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Michael Trevathan; her loving mother, Thelma Jackson; and her cherished daughter, Rebecca Julie Johnson.

A celebration of Deidra's life will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park in Palos Verdes, California, where she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved daughter, Becky. Service details to follow. Deidra's life was a beautiful testament to her faith, love, and resilience. She lives on in our hearts and in the funny, loving, and spirited stories that we share about her.

We invite you to contribute your memories, stories, and pictures of Deidra on her memorial page. As we remember Deidra, let us celebrate her life, her faith, and the indomitable spirit that she was.

Mom, you were my first lesson in what strength wrapped in love looks like. You taught me to laugh through the hard days, to hold tight to faith when nothing made sense, and to always make room at the table for one more. There is peace in knowing you are finally home with the Lord you served so faithfully, resting now beside Becky, whom you carried in your heart every single day. Thank you for a lifetime of love. Until we meet again. — Rachel
