Dave is known by family and friends as a funny, strong-willed and loyal man who was the best storyteller.
David Lynn Goza passed away peacefully on October 7, 2026 at the age of 72 in San Pedro, California. He was born in Midland, Texas on May 11, 1954 to J.B. and Mittie Goza and is one of five siblings. Dave is known by family and friends as a funny, strong-willed and loyal man who was the best storyteller. He is loved by so many and will be missed immensely. When Dave was young, his family moved to Torrance, California and later to Canada where he went to high school. They later moved back to California where Dave studied architecture at San Luis Obispo. He decided to go into construction as he had a passion for woodworking, learning a lot from his father. Dave was very artistic and creative. He loved music and enjoyed playing the drums and guitar. He looked forward to taking summer fishing trips with his wife and daughter to Big Bear Lake. Dave loved to grill and taught his granddaughters how to make his famous grilled cheese. He was a huge sports fan; always watching the Dodgers but his favorite team of all time was the Dallas Cowboys. He is survived by his wife, Jean Goza of 47 years, his daughter Natalie Hummel (Jeff) and two granddaughters Violet and Ivy.
