Daniel was a strong-willed man who lived with determination, conviction, and perseverance.
In Loving Memory of Daniel Villarreal
August 17, 1943 – September 20, 2026
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Daniel Villarreal on September 20, 2026, at the age of 83.
Daniel was a strong-willed man who lived with determination, conviction, and perseverance. Through life’s challenges, he continued to move forward with strength and resilience. Above all, he loved his family deeply, and that love will live on in their hearts and memories.
Daniel proudly served his country in the United States Navy, a chapter of his life that reflected his strength, dedication, and commitment to serving others.
Daniel was married to Gloria Villarreal and later to Leticia Simona Encinas. Though both marriages eventually ended, each was an important chapter in his life and helped shape the family he loved so dearly.
Daniel’s Christian faith was an important part of his life. His favorite Scripture was Psalm 23, which brought him comfort and reminded him of God’s presence and guidance.
Daniel is survived by his beloved son, Samuel Orlando Villarreal, and daughters, Amy Barnes, Lisa Villarreal, Roberta Venegas, and Leticia Villarreal, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with their father.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Edna Villarreal; his father, Gregorio Villarreal Sr.; and his brothers, Jose Amos Villarreal and Gregorio Villarreal Jr. He is also remembered by the many dear friends he made throughout his life in Roswell, New Mexico, with whom he shared friendship, memories, and meaningful moments.
Daniel’s strong spirit, perseverance, love for his family, service to his country, and the memories he created will continue through the generations.
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
— Psalm 23:6
May Daniel rest peacefully in the loving arms of God and be reunited with those who went before him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and loved ones. ❤️ Rest in peace, Daniel. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.
