Cory Gerad Guzman

With such sadness and love we announce the passing of Cory, our beloved and unforgettable son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.

Cory left us far too soon but while he was with us he brought energy, joy and laughter wherever he went. Known for his quick wit and amazing sense of humor he could find the funny in just about any situation. He could light up a room with a single comment or a perfectly timed, slightly sarcastic observation. He loved his family and friends unconditionally and his presence was a gift that lifted spirits and brought people together.

Born May 3, 1983 Cory lived his entire life in San Pedro, a town he loved. He graduated from Mary Star High School and the University of San Diego with a degree in Business. He was a proud longshoreman, a job he felt so fortunate to have. He was a fierce fan of the Raiders and Dodgers. He played golf and bowled, loved music, games, playing poker, fantasy sports, dancing and hanging out with family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Conrad and Cynthia Guzman, sister Lauren Yi (Bryan), brothers Greg Guzman (Laura), Eric Guzman (Meredith) and Roland Guzman, along with aunts and uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews, girlfriend Hayley and so many friends.

He will never be forgotten. We will miss him all the days of our lives. His funeral and burial will be held at Green Hills Mortuary on July 16, 2025 at 11:30 AM.
