Chiyo Ogata

Chiyo Ogata, the daughter of Torakichi Okano and Hisayo Taniguchi Okano passed away peacefully on January 14, 2016 at the age of 95. She was born on January 13, 1921 in Wapato, Washington. Predeceased by her husband, Stanley Ogata, she is survived by her daughters Nancy (Thomas Hoffa) Ogata and Christine (John Baker) Ogata, her sons Steven (Shirley) Ogata, Douglas (Pam) Ogata, Gregory (Caroline) Ogata, and John (JonDelina Buckley) Ogata, as well as grandchildren, Taryn (Alex) Rampley, Snitra Smanot, Troy Hoffa, and Rachel Ogata, great grandson, Grayson Rampley, and siblings Yoko Yuzuriha and Midori Komoto. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 23rd at 10:30AM at Gardena Valley Baptist Church, 1630 West 158th Street, Gardena. Reception immediately following in the social hall
