Celia Ramirez,a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026. Born on June 7, 1947, in Mexico, Celia lived a life marked by warmth, kindness, and tireless dedication to her loved ones and passions.
Celia was known for her vibrant spirit and loving nature. She had a remarkable ability to fill any room with laughter, and her joy was infectious to all who knew her. A hard worker and someone who deeply cherished her family, Celia’s love extended beyond her household; it was evident in every corner of her life. She adored tending to her garden, nurturing her plants with care and devotion—a reflection of her generous heart.
One of the most enduring memories of Celia is found in the kitchen, where she lovingly taught not only her own children but also her grandchildren. Those moments of passing down cherished recipes and life lessons will forever be treasured by those who were fortunate enough to learn at her side.
Celia leaves behind a strong and loving family: her son, Ernesto Ramirez, and his wife, Cyanne De Rijke; her daughter, Araceli Hurd, and her husband, Scot Hurd; as well as her four granddaughters, Analis Ramirez, Natalya Hurd, McKenna Ramirez, and Penny Hurd. Her family was the heart of her world, and their lives were enriched immeasurably by her presence.
A memorial service to honor Celia’s memory will be held on May 16, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Green Hills Mortuary & Memorial Chapel located at 27501 S Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, 90275. Those who loved her are invited to gather and celebrate the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
Celia Ramirez’s life was a testament to love, laughter, and dedication. She taught us all the true meaning of family and the simple joys found in everyday moments. While her presence will be deeply missed, the seeds of love and joy she planted in our hearts will continue to grow, inspiring us for years to come.
