Carmen Amanda Llamas (Mandy), 82, passed away at her home on September 9, 2025. A celebration of her life will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park on November 14, 2025, at 4:30 PM. Born on April 28, 1943, Mandy earned her Master's degree in Social Work from San Jose State University. She dedicated over 25 years to child welfare as a social worker, known for her commitment to the safety and well-being of children and families in her community.
Mandy was deeply passionate about democracy, civil rights, and her Mexican American heritage. She supported organizations such as Teatro Vision and AARP and was actively involved in advocating for workers' rights.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna MacDonald (Thomas), and her three grandchildren: Haskell, Saffron, and Andrew. Mandy will be remembered for her compassion, her fierce advocacy, and the love she shared with her family and community.
