Brian Lee Keith
July 27, 1980–June 11, 2025
Brian Lee Keith, 44 years old, of Long Beach, passed away unexpectedly at his parent's home in Carson on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
Brian was born in Harbor City in July 1980. His hometown was Carson. He graduated from Mary Star of the Sea High School in San Pedro and briefly attended El Camino College. He chose life experiences over a typical education; he worked on a fishing boat in Alaska and paved roads at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. Brian was a licensed Conductor for BNSF Railway for 17 years. He purchased a condo in Long Beach and lived there for 15 years.
Brian was unique and genuine. He was known as the baby brother in the Keith Family, a mischievous uncle, favorite cousin, cool friend “Booda” or as Brian. He was also kind, caring, and quick-witted with his own unique sense of humor. Brian grew up playing baseball and football, and going on family adventures like hiking Haleakalã Crater on Maui, deep sea fishing in Mexico and house boating on Lake Shasta. His love of nature and sense of adventure as a child evolved into his passion for traveling with his brother, cousin, and many friends. He traveled to three countries and 13 states. Brian visited one of 7 wonders of the world, Machu Picchu in Peru, and hiked mountain trails in many national parks. He also traveled to Raider games in Denver, Washington DC, and Nashville. He flew to Nashville days before the game, drove across Tennessee and hiked Mount Le Conte in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Brian enjoyed Fantasy Football, eclectic music, intellectual podcasts, and gardening in G’ma Lil’s backyard. Brian loved going to the river with his friends; as “El Capitán” of the pontoon boat, he cruised the Parker Strip at sunset, listening to his custom-made CDs and making lifetime memories with his friends.
Brian is survived by his grandmother Lil, parents Chuck and Linda, siblings Amy and Chuck, and nephew Dylan. He also left behind uncles Tim and Chris, Aunt Kathy, Joy, Ray, Brandon, Summer, and many other cousins and close friends. Brian is forever loved and always remembered.
