Bonnie Jean Zrust

Bonnie Zrust was a devoted teacher to first graders in Torrance, and a gracious friend to know. She passed away in Rancho Palos Verdes, California in September of 2025. Bonnie was born in Minnesota, attended college in Arizona, began her teaching career in California, and added a masters degree in early childhood education at Pepperdine University. Most of her teaching years were at Adams Elementary in Torrance, from which she retired.

She is survived by her brother Liv Khalsa and niece Sat Nam Kulkarni.

Memorial services will be held Sep 26, 2025 at Green Hills Mortuary and Memorial Historic Church at 2 PM, followed by visiting the burial site.  The historic church cannot receive flowers.  In lieu of flowers, charitable donations will be mentioned at the service. 

Bonnie created adventures in life, for herself, her friends and her students. Her greatest adventure became her faith in Christ. God held her close, and she is forever with the Lord.
