Bobby G. Stells was born on July 26, 1943, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to his parents, Mr. Mack Stells and Mrs. Allie V. Stells, both now deceased. As a young adult, he joined the United States Navy, where he served and was honorably discharged on January 28, 1968. Once his service was completed, he made California his permanent home and received an associate’s degree from Southwest College in Los Angeles.

Throughout his life, Bobby spent many years working in the automotive and air industries for General Motors, Honeywell, Continental Airlines, and McDonnell Douglas. He later spent his years working as a driving license examiner for the Department of Motor Vehicles until his retirement. Due to his “Never Quit” attitude, he never stopped working and went on to volunteer at Kaiser Permanente for a few years.

He was previously married to Mary Elizabeth Duncan and Bernice Dean Stevenson. Mr. Stells was preceded in death by his brother, Mack Stells. He departed this life on the evening of February 11, 2026. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and loyal sister, Mary Stells Robinson, his loving children, four daughters – Carol Stells, Pamela Stells, Tiffany Stells, and Jasmine Stells. Two sons, Marray Stevenson, Gemauhn Bressler, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
