Ms. Beverley Prestlien, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, Gigi, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on the sixth of August 2026.

On March 29, 1931, she was born in Knoxville, Iowa, to Thomas Loyd Holdsworth and Dessa Butler. She went on to graduate from Narbonne High School on June 16, 1949. She was later married to Donald Jean Prestlien on April 26, 1951.

Beverley was immensely dedicated to her family and will always be remembered as loving, disciplined, loyal, and strong-willed. Her daughter, DeeAnn, recalls that some of her fondest early memories with her mom were on vacation at a cabin in the small town of Cecilville, California. During these trips, Beverley could just about always be found enjoying a good book or antiquing. Her family has enjoyed those antiques to this day.

Further, Beverley was a very talented craftswoman. Whether that was sewing or china painting, her work was one of an artist. Beverley was born partially blind, so the works she was able to create were truly a miracle and will be enjoyed by her loved ones for years to come. She also enjoyed travelling, whether that was flying overseas to China and Europe, or going on cruises to Alaska and Mexico with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Dee Ann; son-in-law, Clifford; grandchildren, Rebecca, Bryan, and Crystal, as well as great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Josiah, Avery, and Jordan; and, of course, her cherished four-legged companion, Sugar.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Loyd Holdsworth; her mother, Dessa Butler; her husband, Donald Prestlien; and her son, David Prestlien.

A private funeral service will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park in late August.

The family of Beverely Prestlien extends heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, support, and condolences during this difficult time. Her presence will be deeply missed by all. In remembrance and gratitude for her wonderful 95 years of life, we enjoy saying to each other, “She did it her way,” and find peace in knowing she is reunited with the loved ones who passed on before, as well as her Creator.
