Bertha was a beautiful, loving, kind, and incredibly strong woman whose life was centered around the people she loved most her family.

Bertha grew up with very little in Colombia and faced hardships from an early age. As a young single mother, she was determined to create a better life for herself and her daughter. She did what she had to do, worked hard, and overcame countless obstacles along the way. Life was not always easy for Bertha, but she never allowed those hardships to take away her kindness or her ability to love and enjoy life. If anything, they made her stronger, more determined, and even more appreciative of the life and family she built.

Later in life, Bertha found a beautiful and lasting love with her husband, Guillermo. They shared nearly 30 years of marriage together. She loved him deeply, and the life they built together held a very special place in her heart. Now, Bertha will be laid to rest beside Guillermo, reunited with the man she loved so much.

Bertha was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her world, and she truly lived for her family. She cared for them, worried about them, celebrated them, and was always there whenever they needed her. She had an incredibly selfless heart and so often put everyone she loved before herself.

Caring for others was simply part of who Bertha was. She was a homemaker and spent decades caring for children and babysitting, something she genuinely loved. Children held a special place in her heart, and many were fortunate enough to experience her warmth, patience, and nurturing nature.

Bertha was also someone who knew how to enjoy life. She traveled the world and loved experiencing new places and adventures. She enjoyed being outdoors and spent many happy years bowling in a league. She loved flowers, especially orchids, and she loved listening to Spanish music and salsa. She found happiness in life’s beautiful moments, especially when they were shared with the people she loved.

Bertha will be remembered for her sweetness, her generosity, her determination, and her remarkable strength. She endured so much throughout her lifetime, yet she never lost her kind heart. From a young single mother determined to make a better life, to the matriarch of a family she treasured more than anything, Bertha created a legacy built on perseverance, sacrifice, family, and unconditional love.

Her greatest accomplishment wasn’t something that could be measured it was the family she built, the people she cared for, and the love she gave so freely throughout her life.

Although Bertha will be deeply missed, everything she fought for and everything she loved lives on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those whose lives she touched.

Her strength will live through them, her love will surround them, and her memory will remain in their hearts forever. ❤️
