Bennie Hunt

December 31, 1934 — June 16, 2025

BENNIE HUNT was born the second of four children on December 31, 1934 in Gonzales, Texas to Robert and Irene Hunt. Bennie grew up with loving values and carried love and devotion to family all the years of his life. Bennie met the beautiful Mary Ann Bradford in 1956 and married four years later. They were proud to celebrate 55 years of life and marriage until Mary Ann passed in 2015. Together they raised two loving children and instilled the values of love and family in them. Bennie enjoyed the sound of "granddad" when his grandchildren spoke to him. It warmed his heart. Bennie served 6 years in the United States Army followed by several years in the National Guard. He was a proud, patriotic man. To know him was to love him. Bennie believed in God and was an advocate of "doing the right thing". He led a clean life and enjoyed creating memories with his wife, children and family. One thing he greatly enjoyed was hearing family sing when they were together. He would smile and be in the middle of it all! He had his favorite family singers....but all were precious in his heart! Bennie was a sports enthusiast. The Los Angeles Dodgers were his favorite team. He enjoyed attending live games. Once his health was challenged he enjoyed watching games on the television. Everywhere Bennie went he was remembered. He made his mark by being kind, loving and friendly. He will be missed beyond measure. Treasured memories of time spent are priceless. Bennie leaves to cherish his memory his son, Bruce Edward (Joyce) Hunt; daughter, Sheila Hunt; 6 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Bennie was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers and one sister. He will never be forgotten....
