Barbara Lou Leto, 92, loving daughter of Charles and Rosalie Tucker passed away surrounded by love and a lifetime of memories. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, her family packed up their midwestern grit and moved to California with her two sisters, Mona and Pat, whom she loved dearly. She put down roots, built a family, and was married for an extraordinary 62 years to the love of her life, Gosie. Together they created a home full of love, family and friends. She was the proud mother of two daughters, Robin Kurth and Debbie Norman, and the even prouder grandmother of Brent (Michelle) Ortloff, Brandon (Kim) Ortloff, Matt (Lauren) Kurth, and Hailey (Philipp) Wolf. Her joy only grew with eight great-grandchildren: Alicia, Avianna, Aleena, Jackson, Oliver, Penny, Finn, and Otto, each of whom held a very special place in her heart.

She spent her career in aerospace, proving that intelligence, determination, and a strong work ethic make a powerful combination. In retirement, she embraced the things she loved—swimming, playing bridge, exercising, traveling, crocheting, and enjoying the occasional casino trip or afternoon at the horse races. She believed in staying active, keeping life interesting, always showing up for the people you love, and having a little fun along the way.

Family and her doggies Lily, Muffin, Mitzi and Gigi were her number one priority—no question, no competition. She was a steady presence, good company, and gave all her love generously. Her sense of humor and positive attitude were infectious, and her goodbyes were always the same.

She signed off the way she lived—lighthearted, affectionate, and unmistakably herself.
