Barbara H. Ishii, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. She was born in Arizona in 1935 and was the youngest of ten children.

Barbara graduated High School in 1953, where she was the vice president of the Pep Club. Following in the steps of her older sister Mary, she relocated to Southern California where she met her soon-to-be husband at Missile Bowl in Gardena. Barbara married her husband Jan Ishii, in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1963. They were together for 49 years, until his passing in 2012.

Barbara raised one child David and was a resident of California for over 60 years.

Barbara was a supportive wife, mother and friend. She enjoyed gardening, spending many hours planting and maintaining her multiple flower beds. She enjoyed a good session of Bonus Deuces Wild video poker, was an avid viewer of the Hallmark Channel, and a long time fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. In her later years she started traveling more by airplane, crossing the Mississippi river for the first time after her 80th birthday.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her son: David; brother-in-law, Robert and many cousins, nephews and nieces in California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Washington and Tennessee.

At her request, no funeral services will be held. A memorial to celebrate her life will be held at The Waterfront Beach Resort Huntington Beach (Hilton) on Sunday March 15, 2026 starting at 9:00 a.m.
