Barbara (Weinstock) Callen

Born: June 25, 1929; passed away: August 20, 2025, in Torrance

Barbara attended school in Hollywood, and graduated from Hollywood High School in 1947.

She met her husband, Arthur Callen, on a blind date in June 1951, and they were married on August 23, 1951. They moved to Florida for two years, and came back to California in 1953.

Barbara was employed at Sears Credit Central as a Credit Supervisor for 20 years from 1967-1987.

Barbara volunteered at Torrance Memorial from 1989 – 2018.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Candice Callen, Heidi Ward, and Dawn and Russ Pond.

Barbara had 3 grandchildren; Kelly Pond, Kari Ward, and Kevin Pond.

She had 1 great granddaughter and 1 great grandson.

Family will have a private service and she will be laid to rest at Green Hills Memorial Park.
