Anthony (Tony) Fiorello Musuraca, 95, of Cary, North Carolina, passed away on December 9, 2025. His family immigrated from Riace, Italy in the early 1900’s, and Tony was the youngest in his family and first child in his family to be born a US citizen. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 30, 1930 to Lorenzo and Esterina Musuraca. He was married to Mary Musuraca (nee DeMarie) for 55 years.
Tony proudly served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean war, and held the Marines in highest honor for his entire life. He managed Northrop Corporation’s Hawthorne California electronics laboratory for over 40 years. Tony had a passion for his family and helping people. Several people were blessed by his acts of kindness, and their lives show for it today.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, son Lawrence (Larry), his brothers Cosimo (Gus) and Saverio (Sam), sister Anna, and his mother and father. He is survived by daughter Terri Rice (nee Musuraca), her husband Bill Rice, their sons Bailey (Rachel) and Ryley, Larry’s wife Ann (nee Titzkowski), and their children Andrew, Josh (Hanna), Rachel (Kean), and Tommy (Lauren). Tony’s family held a local celebration of life service in his honor at Shepherd’s Church in Cary, North Carolina on December 16. A west coast service will be held at Green Hills Mortuary in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, where Tony will be laid to rest with military honors next to his wife on January 12, 2026.
