Alice Mitsuko Nakashima-Okita

Alice Mitsuko Nakashima-Okita passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in Torrance, California, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Her final moments were surrounded by family and friends. She was born on April 1956 in Japan to her father Yoshio and her mother Teruyo. Her family then moved to Seattle Washington, and followed by Gardena, California where she spent the rest of her life.

Alice was known for her kindheartedness and caring spirit. She loved to help others and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was thoughtful and sensitive, as well as a highly intelligent individual. She loved knitting, photography, and animals, especially cats. Alice graduated from UCLA with a degree in electrical engineering. While at UCLA, she started working for Hughes Aircraft where she met Bob, the love of her life, whom she later married.

She is survived by her husband Bob, siblings Emiko, Minoru and Sachi, son Philip, daughter-in-law Kristy, and grandson Devon.
