Eulogy for Alfonso Cintron Pacheco

January 26, 1934 – October 25, 2025

With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Alfonso Cintron Pacheco, a man of deep faith and unwavering love. At 91 years old, he left this world peacefully, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of family, faith, and strength that continues to shine through all who knew him.

Alfonso was born on January 26, 1934, in Yunica, Puerto Rico, to his cherished parents, Ventura and Flora Pacheco. Though he lost both parents at a young age, his courage and determination became the foundation of the life he built. At just nine years old, he moved to New York and began working hard to create a better future. Even as a child, Alfonso showed a remarkable strength, a deep sense of responsibility, and a quiet resilience that guided him throughout his life.

As a young man, Alfonso worked as a chef on ships, a job that reflected both his love for cooking and his adventurous spirit. His journey eventually led him to Wilmington, California, where his life changed forever. There, he met the love of his life, Carmen Ana Pacheco. Together, they shared more than 54 beautiful years of marriage filled with faith, laughter, and devotion.

Their love was strong and deeply rooted in faith, a marriage built on trust, unconditional love, and faith in God. When his beloved wife Carmen Pacheco passed away four years ago, a piece of Alfonso’s heart went with her, but his love for his family and his faith in the Lord continued to be his source of divine strength. He carried her memory tenderly, finding peace in knowing they would one day be together again.

For 36 years, Alfonso worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District as a dedicated custodian. He was committed to his work and always did his best, known for his kindness, dependability, and gentle spirit. His humility and integrity were evident in everything he did whether at work, at home, or in his community as a minister.

Above all else, Alfonso was a man of deep and unwavering faith. He loved the Lord with all his heart and found joy in the simple blessings of life such as attending church, spending time with family, sharing stories from the Bible, and going fishing; one of his favorite pastimes. His graceful strength, warm humor, and loving nature made every moment in his presence a gift.

Alfonso Pacheco was more than a father, grandfather, brother, and friend; he was our foundation, our example, and our comfort. He made his best effort in educating his loved ones on the word of God and leading his family back to the Lord. He taught us to live with grace, humility, and love. He showed us that true strength comes not from power, but from patience and faith.

He is survived by his children, Pedro Angel Seda, Wanda Yvette Morgan, Wanda Emilia Mendoza, Richard Rojas, and Lizzette Solorio, as well as his sisters Rosa Julia Ortiz and Gloria Esther Pacheco, and his brothers Jaime Cintron and Santiago Pacheco. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and loved ones who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Though we miss him deeply, we find comfort in knowing that Alfonso is reunited with his beloved wife Carmen, and his daughter Carmen Enid Rojas, sons Angel Samuel Seda, and Miguel Angel Seda resting peacefully in the presence of the Lord he served so faithfully. His life was a beautiful example of love, perseverance, and faith.

Thank you for everything, for your love, your laughter, and your strength. You showed us what it means to live with grace and to walk by faith. We love you always and take comfort knowing this is not goodbye; it’s simply, “Until we meet again.”
